About Drew Jackson
In 2009, after becoming disenchanted with the rat race and feeling I was leading a life bereft of true meaning, I quit my job in the financial services industry. I began seeking a career that would offer me the opportunity to fulfill my genuine purpose: helping people who are facing life difficulties. After significant soul-searching and consultation with family, friends, former professors, and colleagues, I chose to pursue a profession in counseling, and I enrolled in graduate school. Every day, I am grateful for the decision to change my career and life direction. Serving as a counselor continues to be an immensely gratifying experience.
My mission is to deliver a comprehensive array of mental health services at the highest possible level, within the Metro Jackson Communities. I use my experience, passion, and dedication to provide exceptional client care at the medical health, mental health, and administrative levels.
I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults to discover a deep sense of purpose and meaning, resulting in the transformative ability to live a healthy and fulfilling life. I have extensive experience in treating those facing mental health and substance abuse issues. I strive to work with clients to successfully navigate difficult transitions, let go of the past, and move towards a positive future. By integrating a variety of therapeutic methods, I have developed a unique and holistic approach – Drawing upon my academic, professional, and personal experience with anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
Since 2011, I have practiced in the Jackson, Ridgeland, and Madison areas. I have worked in group/private practices, as well as, both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings at Brentwood Behavioral Health Care and the Jackson Neuroscience Center. I also served as the Program Director for both Adolescent/Young Adult Dual-Diagnosis and Adult Psychiatric Intensive Outpatient Programs at Imagine Behavioral Health.
